Chrome Registration Failed for Firefox on Windows Vista

I found a problem with Firefox running under a fresh Windows Vista. When I started it, I would get three dialogue boxes saying "Chrome Registration Failed"

I also noticed that some add-ons such as the dictionary were not working, and a install of the British Dictionary failed claiming it was incompatible with Firefox 2.0.0.11

The solution was very simple though, simply close Firefox and then restart by running the application as administrator. This time the program launched without the error messages and subsequent launches, as a normal user, have been problem free.
